A few cost-effective wireless earbuds sometimes make their way to me and go up against the top brands in the audio space. An example would be the AceFast T9 earbuds that cost a mere $19/£18 (on AliExpress). At first, I was doubtful in regard to these earbuds and the promises that they were making considering their ultra-affordable pricing. Spoiler Alert: They surprised me in a lot of ways.
An Outstanding Budget Device
AceFast, a brand that is only 3 years old in the electronics space approached me and asked me to review their T8 model crawling into my Mails with their expertise of fine audio output. Though I was more curious about the T9 and wanting to review those instead. And yes, at a price less than that of a couple of treats, these earbuds stood up to my expectations and did not disappoint me.
Prime quality, Affordable pricing To begin with, when the AceFast T9 joined the market, I received it in a very quality packed casing along with other assorted accessories. The set consists of the following along with the earbuds: A well-crafted user’s manual, of Four different sizes of high quality earbud, A USB A to USB C wire, A rubber case cover with a matching in color equipped with a thick lanyard. The most impressive is, though, the unique visual battery indicator that is integrated in the case and which glows when the user pulls out the earbud. This design is quite seamless and undamaging instead of a comfortable screen which aids in sophistication that is quite uncommon at this price level. Nice touch but with trade-offs worth. The earbud stays held down roomy in the case along with a rubberized stretchable cover, and can still be easily reached even with the lanyard on. The fact that the device comes without a lid may allow pocket fluff to cover the charging ports, but the lanyard ameliorates this problem. Now let’s proceed with the discussion of the aesthetics – which is, the Crystal (Air) lilac version is so beautiful. If, Like me, you have a penchant for purple technology, this design is a big thumbs up.
Simple Connectivity and Strong Battery Life
Moving on to the earbuds, I have to say many competitors in the budget range suffer quite a lot because pairing the earbuds to my iPhone was no hassle at all. Even with the charge indicator that gives you a view of the battery life left, these earbuds manage to reach 30 hours of external charge satisfying.
With the help of dual microphonic technology, the call quality differs significantly as well. As for the brand AceFast, while there is mention of environmental noise cancellation there is no active noise cancellation offered or any form of app support. Although these earbuds fall into the casual listening section, the passive noise isolation does help add slightly to the listening experience.
Exceeding Expectations
Another feature that provides ease while using these is the inclusion of touch controls which allows users to alter the volume something that is rather uncommon for the price range AceFast operates on. There is no delay in audio performance as well, the sound isn’t too deep but rather fits more cohesively with the overall sound. The timing again was decent and there were no hiccups during connection.
Final Verdict
Yes the AceFast T9 earbuds do lack a few features and sounds but considering the price point they operate at it is reasonable. For those who are careful with their money and need something portable to use while on the go these earbuds are perfect.
AceFast is a good fit for the location and has a bright future within the audio market, even it’s not yet available in every region. For a sub $20 price tag, the T9 will do you well.
These earbuds go to show that low cost doesn’t equate to low quality – highly recommended for anyone looking for style and low costs in their audio solution.
