Samsung has started the One UI 7 beta program for Galaxy devices which brings with it Android 15. Out of the new features, some were showcased at the Samsung Developer Conference (SDC) 2024 in California, while also bringing new visual tweaks and UI changes along with stronger Galaxy AI functions.
Eligible Models And Availability.
Currently the beta program of One UI 7 is opened for users having Galaxy S24 series in a number of countries such as Germany, India, South Korea, Poland, the UK, and the USA. Through the Samsung Members app, interested users can apply for the program. But not all features will be available in every country.
The android beta update is multilingual and supports 29 languages including English (with multiple variants), Hindi, Arabic, Chinese and Spanish among many others.
One UI 7 Beta Key Features
Samsung’s re-designed interface aims to follow the guidelines introduced by core design principles during SDC 2024, namely simplicity, personalization, and user empowerment and involvement.
Now Bar Notification System: New system that lets the user view notifications on the locked screen without needing to unlock the device. It showcases app activity for Music, Interpreter, Stopwatch, and more, enabling interaction while giving users the option to not unlock the device.
Camera Interface Upgrades: The camera software interface has been changed by Polaris by allowing an easier approach to controls, arranging the camera modes, and metabolic interface during Pro and Pro Video modes for the user. Zoom gain scheduling has been implemented for seamless switching as well.
Integration of Galaxy AI: Integrated grammar checkers, tone checkers, text summarizers, or bullet point makers come with a complete suite of applications without a need for external apps as advanced AI tools are built into the software. This call transcript feature is multilingual within 20 languages thereby allowing ease in recorded conversations.
Stylish and Professional: The new update helps reduce the amount of visual confusion, allow for different shaped widgets to be used, and even offer customizable lock screens.
Other Notable Features
Samsung applied new mobility such as Tri-Fold mobile phone patent of mine with an active protection belt layer to increase durability as well. One UI 7 beta is all about how Samsung plans to keep improving a one experience with meaningful and unique features.
