Copilot has proven to be fundamental in my finances in such a way that Copilot made it easy for budgeting to be fun. Recently, there is also Tags and Cash Flow,’ even more room to extend the usefulness of the app. The app is also available on iPad, which greatly improves the app experience. So let’s look at what has changed since and how these features were incorporated into my everyday budget planning routine.
iPad App
For a lot of us users, including myself, the introduction of Copilot on the iPad has taken time to come. It is no wonder that budgeting can be pain but from the time we have had Copilot on i Phone and Mac it has been seamless experience. However. Now, the introduction of an optimized version for Copilot on the iPad, all this has changed.
The iPad version is not a mere copy of the iPhone’s app. It has been purposely redesigned to suit the enlarged screen. You simply need to select it to get rid of the panels. It allows you to easily move between Cash Flow, Accounts and Transactions on the app. “What this tab is it also gets much useful information, all in a single glance,” I particularly relish the fact that the “Dashboard” tab easily switches between types of spending, assets held, debts owed, the most important spending categories, and monthly net income all without effort taking full advantage of the iPad screen.
In addition, I was pleased to note that Copilot on iPad is not fixed and conforms to different screens and orientations, and further that the on-screen keyboard was designed with simplicity in mind for entering data.
The application has includes multitasking such as Split View and Slide Over, and is useful for budgeting when one has to pay bills or check receipts among others. In my opinion, the iPad version is pretty much convenient in budgeting talks with my wife because to me, it is more appealing than Mac but larger than the iPhone as well.
Tags
The advanced Tags feature is an effective tool for tracking cash inflow and outflow. By Tags, users can label transactions in many dimensions, so they can track transactions of a particular category with ease. There is no limit to the amount of Tags you can create it is also possible to add colors to Tags for organization.
For example, I have Tags such as “Adsense,” “Amazon Affiliate,” and “Podcast Sponsorships” which help me separate and identify income from other sources, Tags are also useful with monthly spending on “streaming services” or when purchasing “memberships,” With Tags the ability is infinite – such as Christmas spending or groceries buying from some markets. This gives a layered outlook of spending habits.
Cash Flow
To be financially well, it is important for one to know the inflow and outflow of cash.
The new Cash flow function of Copilot allows users to view earnings and expenses for each month of the year with an easily comparable net income chart with a previous period. Further analyzing these graphs, users can retrieve with older information for seeing income and spending trends that occurred in historical periods.
This feature is especially beneficial to people like me who have no stable earning on a monthly basis. Cash flow sorts out the issues pertaining to my understanding of my situation financially every month and yearly as well. For those earning more often than not the same sum per month, even this feature is useful to keep tabs on the changes in expenditures over time, be it weekly, monthly or yearly.
Conclusion
Copilot has positively impacted my outlook on budgeting. I have, over the years, been using various systems in a bid to control spending; thankfully Copilot has helped me come up with a working budget for my wife and I. The addition of iPad support, Tags and Cash Flow add to the app’s usability in the more intuitive approach it helps with financial planning that suits individual’s needs.
