Nothing Unveils Its Latest Budget Phones Ahead of Official Launch
We got a peak of the Nothing Phone 3a and Nothing Phone 3a Pro at MWC 2025 today and are looking forward to their official launch tomorrow.
While full specifications are still under wraps, Nothing’s signature Glyph interface is returning. These appealing LED lights can notify users of incoming alerts via flashing patterns.
Design and Camera Layout
The cameras on both models are housed in a distinctive round module on the back. The standard Phone 3a comes with the camera bar placed horizontally while the Pro version appears to be redistributing the lenses more symmetrically, maybe for some bigger sensors or even hardware.
Rumours are that both models have a 50MP main sensor and 8MP ultra-wide on both. The Phone 3a should have a 2x telephoto camera of unknown resolution, and the Pro version may have a 50MP telephoto lens with unknown zoom.
Nothing has confirmed the details regarding the Pro model’s periscope zoom, but other details remain confirm for the time being.
Key features and hardware
These devices have received enhancements, and the side Essential Key is one of the most notable improvements. Although Nothing has not made it clear at this moment in time, teasers suggest that this button will allow for audio recording and screenshot captures, however, Nothing may open up more potential uses over time.
Another major highlight is a new upgrade chipset, which arguably would be the most significant. Nothing’s reveal event was held at Qualcomm’s booth, which confirmed that both of the phones are using the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset. This indicates that AI features were at the forefront of Nothing’s engineering team since the chipset has NPU, which is a powerful Neural Processing Unit.
Expected specs and availability
Nothing has not disclosed everything as of yet, but the leaks speculated that both models would incorporate the features of the Nothing Phone 2a Plus, having 6.72-inch OLED display screens with 120Hz refresh rates.
Both phones are expected to have a battery of 5000 mAh, which would provide exceptional battery capabilities in real world tests, especially when nothing has confirmed that they will use RAM and storage configurations of 8GB 256 or 128 GB, and the pro model may have 12 GB of RAM.

These devices should be expected within a few weeks as Nothing has shown devices having fast release cycles and are known for not disclosing pricing and availability information.
