Design: Subtle Refinements
The new Galaxy S25 series features relatively few design changes compared to its predecessors but still offers some improvements. All three models come with rounded edges, but Ultra’s design is also the most squared off compared to the other two base models, S25 and S25+.

All the devices meet the IP68 standard for protection against water and dust. The S25 and S25+ have Armor Aluminum frames, while the Ultra model uses titanium. The Ultra version also includes Corning Gorilla Armor 2 on the front for additional protection.

Samsung’s excellent Dynamic AMOLED 2X, 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and 2,600-nit peak brightness has been retained, allowing visibility under harsh lighting conditions to remain unmatched.

All models now come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy which provides a staggering NPU boost of 40%, alongside and incredibly 37% CPU improvement and 30% increase in GPU. To enable more effective cooling, Samsung has also enlarged the vapor chambers to keep up with the powerful performance.

Capacity remains the same since the S24 lineup, *S25: 4,000mAh, *S25+: 4,900mAh, *S25 Ultra: 5,000mAh All models benefited from improved efficiency due to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite and One UI 7, boosting longevity. In testing, all devices exceeded 14 hours, with the S25+ recording 14 hours 40 minutes.
Charging speeds have not changed from the previous generation S25: 25W, S25+: 45W, S25 Ultra: 45W. All models support 15W wireless charging and 4.5W reverse wireless charging.
Software and AI Features
Assisted by Galaxy AI features like Google’s Gemini hyper-specialized task tool, Samsung’s S25 range run Android 15 with One UI 7. AI Select for on-screen content recommendations, Circle-to-Search feature with text and audio recognition, and manual language queries within settings and galleries are within the devices.
Samsung guarantees 7 years of OS and Security updates, extending support for the devices greatly.
