If your iPhone 14 Plus is experiencing a specific camera issue, Apple will provide a free repair.

A handful of iPhone 14 Plus models hit select markets with a weak point that’s defective at the rear camera preview, but there is no charge to have this repaired. The iPhone 14 Plus, until now known to be the first device of Apple not being a Pro Max model with greater screen size, has some devices with problems on the rear camera where no preview is available. Well, all the same Apple has said it will repair the damaged units and bear all the expenses of such repairs (through The Verge).

As mentioned on Apple’s support page, only a small proportion of iPhone 14 Plus handsets: made between April 10 and April 28 of 2023 and 2024, are affected by the issue. Consumers can utilize Apple’s support link to check if their serial number touches the free repair approval. If you have fixed such issues previously on your own, Apple now has advice over such consumers for requesting refund.
